Examples: dry skin in cold weather, temperature fluctuations, dry air, too often washing

Healthy and nourished skin is elastic and protects us from negative effect of outside environment and irritation. It is important to pay attention that wind, temperature fluctuations, dry air, chemicals and even washing your skin too often is affecting it. Your skin can become dry, red, rough and even start chapping providing a negative effect on our everyday work.

What should we do to keep skin elastic and hydrated

  • Be careful when you use chemicals, e.g. dishwasher detergents, etc.
  • Wash your skin carefully, don’t use too many soap and shower gel.
  • Protect your skin from temperature fluctuations – e.g. protect your hands from cold by wearing gloves and protect your skin from hot direct sun when it is hot outside.
  • Drink enough water every day. For adults – 1.5- 2 liters per day.
  • Hydrate your skin with protective agents, especially on the driest areas – elbows, knees, heels.
